Every year, the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) announces the recipients of school safety patrol awards.

RETSD would like to congratulate Westview School on receiving 1st Place for our division, Prince Edward School on receiving 2nd Place, and Princess Margaret School on receiving 3rd Place. These are wonderful accomplishments in a division of our size with so many schools competing.

Every year the patrols are judged on their ability, professionalism, and technique while on patrol by the School Education Section of the WPS. The WPS has been involved in the School Safety Patrol Program since 1936. Winnipeg had the first fully organized and officially recognized school patrol program in Canada.
