Our School

École Sun Valley School is part of River East Transcona School Division and provides instruction to students in Kindergarten to Grade 5. It is a "dual track" school, offering instruction in the English and French Immersion programs.

The school is located in the north-east corner of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Construction of the school began in 1986 and was completed in 1987. The first day of classes for staff and students was January 26, 1987. There were 292 students in K to Grade 4.

Because of the high enrollment, six high-quality relocatable classrooms were added to the school in 1991. At that time there were 703 students in K to Grade 6. In 1992, École Sun Valley became a K to 5 and in 1995, École Sun Valley once again became K to 6. Due to restructuring of schools in the school division, École Sun Valley became a K to grade 5 school in the fall of 2014.
