Accessibility at Princess Margaret School

"Standards for Student Services,” a section of The Public Schools Act, requires schools to provide accessibility information to parents new to the school division. 

Princess Margaret School is located on one level and all rooms within the building are accessible by wheelchair.  The south east doors at the front of the school building have an automatic door switch and ramp to assist people with entry and exit.  Our school is equipped with a grooming room for students that have needs in this area.  Princess Margaret also has two lifts installed to assist in moving students with mobility challenges.

The school playground has a flat tarmac area around the north side of the school that is accessible. 

Princess Margaret School has one designated handicapped parking spot located at the staff parking lot off of Kingsford Avenue.  This parking spot is adjacent to a ramp and the staff entry to the school building.  Parking is also available at the front of the school close to the front doors.
