Community Education Forum: A Shared Commitment to Mental Health and Well-Being in Our Schools

On Saturday, April 25, parents and community members came together at the RETSD Community Forum hosted by our Board of Trustees. The focus of the forum was on student mental health and well-being. Participants had the opportunity to hear students and teachers, and take part in several break out sessions on mental health facilitated by divisional experts. These sessions included topics on anxiety, suicide awareness, social and emotional learning, understanding bullying, and others.

This forum is just one way that the RETSD Board of Trustees engages with its community and provides an opportunity for learning and feedback - because we all know that when students feel safe, supported, connected, and valued, they are better able to learn, grow, and thrive.
