No Stone Left Alone

On November 6, 600 Grade 6 students from Transcona-area schools took part in the No Stone Left Alone Ceremony.

RETSD partnered with the Transcona Legion to hold the event, which saw students place poppies on the graves of veterans in Transcona Cemetery. Every military gravestone was paid respects by one or more students, who also gave a salute to the veterans as part of the ceremony.

In the days leading up to the event, the students learned about the importance of remembrance and were visited by Peter Martin from the Transcona Legion, so he could show them how to properly salute. To learn more about No Stone Left Alone, visit www.nostoneleftalone.ca.
