As per the City of Winnipeg website, accepted items include all food scraps, fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, meat, fish, bones, solid fats, baked goods, grains, coffee grounds and filters, tea bags, pet food, and food-soiled paper products. ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED

Items that aren't accepted include plastic bags, coffee cups, glass, metal, and compostable food containers, cups, straws, and utensils.
