We are excited to inform you about the upcoming Take Our Kids to Work Day (TOKTW) on Wednesday, November 6th. This annual event provides Grade 9 students with the opportunity to explore various career options and gain valuable insights into the working world by spending a day at a workplace.
What is TOKTW Day?
Take Our Kids to Work Day is a national initiative that allows students to experience a day in the life of a professional. It helps them understand the skills required in different professions and the importance of education in achieving their career goals.
How Can Your Child Participate?
- Find a Host: Students can spend the day with a parent, relative, or family friend at their workplace.
- Permission Form: Please complete this digital form https://forms.office.com/r/KuLCyGY7M4
- Preparation: Encourage your child to prepare questions and think about what they would like to learn during their visit.
Benefits of Participation:
- Exposure to different career paths
- Understanding workplace expectations and skills
- Building connections and networking
