OUR LIBRARY
Welcome to our school library
Welcome to the Bernie Wolfe Library Learning Commons! We believe every student should have the skills necessary to navigate today’s information-rich society. Determining information needs, recognizing and selecting appropriate print and online resources, and managing the information are life-long learning skills. In our LLC, students learn to collaborate, think critically, communicate and be creative! We also endeavor to inspire passionate readers.

Library Program
The library program is a dynamic part of BWCS. Classes work with Mrs. Card, our teacher-librarian, on collaborative learning projects. These units provide instruction in information literacy, technology, and the 6C’s of learning – Creativity, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Communication, Citizenship and Character education.
In the library, students have the opportunity to learn about a variety of authors, illustrators, and book genres. Students are taught how to look for and find books of interest in the library. Families are encouraged to enjoy the school library books together and to ensure the books are cared for and returned promptly.
