OUR LIBRARY

Welcome to our School Library

Welcome to the library and to our program of information literacy. We believe that every student should have the skills necessary to navigate in today's information-rich society. Determining information needs, recognizing and selecting appropriate resources - whether print or online and managing the information are fundamental skills needed for successful academic research.

The focus of our school library is to empower staff and students in becoming independent, skilled users of ideas and information by providing qualtiy library programs which effectively integrate curricular, technology, and literacy goals.

Program Description

At Neil Campbell School, the library program is based on a dual platform. The literature appreciation platform allows the students at least one class per cycle to explore a specific genre or author and to exchange reading materials. This is one of many ways that we encourage literature appreciation in students so they become lifelong readers.

The Neil Campbell library has recently been automated therefore searching for resources can be done easily from any computer within the school. Students, staff and parents can also search for resources at home by using the online library link on our school webpage.
