Kindergarten Registration in RETSD

Our schools are getting ready for you and your child! Kindergarten registration begins at all RETSD early years schools on Monday, March 3, 2025. 

If your child is five years old on or before December 31, they're eligible to be registered for kindergarten for the 2025–26 school year. Registration packages will soon be available at all early years schools and on their websites at Documents & Forms > Registration. If you’re uncertain which RETSD school is your child's designated school, use our web-based School Locator.

When registering your child for kindergarten in RETSD, you’ll need to provide proof-of-age documentation for your child, such as a birth certificate, baptismal certificate, passport, Manitoba Health Card, INAC status card, or birth registration signed by the director of Vital Statistics. You’ll also need to bring two pieces of identification that show proof of residency, such as your driver’s licence, Manitoba Health Card, tenancy agreement, offer to purchase documents, or a utility bill.
