Truth and Reconciliation

Both The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day take place on September 30th.

This day honours the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Public commemorations of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.

A way to achieve reconciliation is to acknowledge the true history and learn from it.

Although this year September 30th is a Saturday, during this month learners will see information around the school, and our Student Support Worker will be hosting a lunch and learn on the 28th!
