Our division is governed by a board of nine trustees who are accountable to the public for the safety, quality and cost of education via human resource practices, policies and budgetary decisions. Trustees are elected every four years during municipal elections and in RETSD, meet the first and third Tuesday of each month, 6:30 p.m. at the Administration Offices. The RETSD board of trustees has identified four priorities for the 2016–17 school year:
- Conduct a catchment area review of all middle years schools east of Lagimodiere Boulevard
- Conduct a review of the process of timetabling and/or scheduling of Industrial Arts and Home Ecology courses across the division
- Conduct a review of the Transportation Policy as it relates to student transportation services to middle years schools across the division
- Conduct a review of the current scheduling models for kindergarten across the division
